Prado Marin Art by Paula Gabriela do Prado
Age: 28
I love making and collecting things. I compulsively collect materials including different types of paper, scraps of fabric as well as
other found and recycled materials. I even collect drycleaning stubs, raffle tickets and price stickers from art magazines that say
"Air-Freight copy". My family is dominated by strong women who in hard times have always been able to make something from
nothing. Having recently traveled back to where I was born in Montevideo, Uruguay, I came away knowing I would continue to
preserve the long-standing family tradition of re-use and 'making do'.

Opus - Ivan Dixon
Age: 19
My name is Ivan Dixon. I am aged 19 and live in Newcastle, Australia. I am co-editor and principle designer of the Uni Magazine, Opus.
I am interested in art and design that makes throwbacks to 1950’s style animation and colour approaches. I work across both physical
and digital media. This includes creating comics and posters for print and animation, audio, and interactive computer games for the
internet. My main focus is creating a world that is not limited by its medium. I am currently occupied by a character called Sydney
Claywood. He has come to life through several published comic strips, two downloadable adventure games, and a longer serialised
cartoon that is a regular feature of the Newcastle University Student’s magazine. I even started a Face book account for Sydney,
where he can interact with fans in character. For more information and images please visit my blog at: www.ivandstuff.blogspot.com

Whadda Zine Distro – Rebecca Howe
I distribute resources for “community response to sexual assault”, which basically is about strengthening community by making
assault something that is talked about and worked on. The zines and resources are about providing info on how to support
survivors, information on how to respond if you’ve been called out, strategies to hold people accountable for their actions,
safety plans, emotional support, safer spaces invitations and everything in between.
I also distribute resources produced by Icarus Project which is a network of people in the USA who believe that their mental
illness is a “dangerous gift” rather than a disease to be suppressed or eliminated. They produce resources for those who have
madness as part of their lives and for support people (see www.theicarusproject.net) I also have resources around trans-gender and gender issues. Plus there’s whatever stencil patches I have made by the event - t ese are art patches. All items in the distro are up for trade or negotiation on price. I only sell the books which I’ve had to order from overseas, the rest I can be pretty easily convinced to just give out! www.myspace.com/threadedneedlesWhadda
